At IFA 2025, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11, its most advanced tablets to date. Designed with productivity and creativity in mind, the new series combines cutting-edge hardware, Galaxy AI integration, and an enhanced Samsung DeX experience to create a mobile workstation that adapts to both professional and personal needs.
Samsung Glaxy Tab s11 Ultra
Ultra-Thin Design Meets Ultra Power
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra takes center stage with a massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (2960 × 1848) featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Despite its expansive screen, the tablet is just 5.1mm thin and weighs 1.52 lbs, making it the thinnest Galaxy Tab yet. Its slim bezels expand screen real estate without sacrificing portability, ideal for on-the-go professionals. The standard Galaxy Tab S11 offers an 11-inch display (2560 × 1600) in a lighter, compact form.
Both tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ 3nm processor, delivering major performance improvements over the previous generation. Samsung reports up to 33% faster NPU performance, 24% faster CPU speeds, and 27% GPU gains compared to the Tab S10 series. Memory and storage configurations scale up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, with microSD expansion up to 2TB.
Battery life also sees an upgrade: the Ultra carries an 11,600mAh cell, while the Tab S11 includes 8,400mAh — both supporting 45W fast charging.
Galaxy AI at the Core
The Tab S11 series launches with One UI 8, the first Galaxy tablets to integrate Samsung’s multimodal AI. Features such as Gemini Live enable real-time assistance that can “see” what the user sees — from interpreting study notes to summarizing lengthy articles. Creative tools include Drawing Assist, which transforms rough sketches into polished visuals, and Writing Assist, which refines tone and clarity for professional communications.
AI overlays can even float over apps, allowing users to summarize or reformat content without switching screens. Combined, these features push Samsung’s tablets firmly into the era of AI-driven productivity.
A Redesigned S Pen and Enhanced Samsung DeX
The in-box S Pen has been redesigned for comfort and precision, featuring a cone-shaped tip with increased tilt angles and a hexagonal body for better ergonomics. It remains IP68 water- and dust-resistant, matching the durability of the tablets themselves. Quick Tools and Sticky Notes make capturing and editing ideas easier without breaking workflow.
Samsung has also overhauled Samsung DeX. The new Extended Mode lets the Tab S11 operate in true dual-screen fashion when connected to an external monitor, while up to four customizable workspaces can now be created for professional projects, creative work, or travel planning. When paired with the Book Cover Keyboard Slim, the Tab S11 series becomes a full laptop alternative.

Building on the Tab S10 Legacy
The Galaxy Tab S10 series, launched in 2023, set a strong foundation with powerful AMOLED displays, S Pen support, and DeX integration. However, it was limited by thicker designs, less powerful processors, and a less advanced AI ecosystem. The Tab S11 series not only refines hardware — with thinner builds, brighter screens, and faster chips — but also introduces Galaxy AI as a core pillar, making it far more versatile for productivity and creative tasks.
In addition, while the Tab S10 supported multitasking, the new DeX Extended Mode and AI overlays provide a significantly more seamless workflow experience. For power users, the leap in processing power and the introduction of ray-tracing graphics via the Immortalis-G925 GPU make the Tab S11 Ultra a stronger device for design, 3D work, and media editing.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra launches at $1,199.99, while the Galaxy Tab S11 starts at $799.99. Both models will be available from September 4, 2025, in Gray and Silver finishes
